Go in to work when others are sick, cover the desk when they want to leave early, come in for overtime when there's only one person on the schedule and what do you get? Stuck in the middle of shit creek without a paddle when you need the favor repaid. Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals is tonight.... guess who it looks like isn't going despite having tickets. Yeah, to say I'm pissed right now would be understating the situation. I'm beyond pissed, I'm flat out irate.

To any of my coworkers that might happen to come by this, I hope you choke on a pretzel.

The Day Without Immigrants, contrary to what the local press would have you think, didn't really have too much of an effect on this area. Not really much to talk about other then the numbers being signifigantly less then they were expecting, and the fact that it's not really a local phenomenon either. Places like Madison, Wisconsin had signifigantly less turnout then expected along the lines of less then a third of what they were expecting.

In other news, the Hurricanes are set to play the Devils in the playoffs yet again. It just wouldn't be playoff time in Raleigh without this matchup it seems. I've been reeding a lot of this today, people expecting the Devils to walk right over the Hurricanes because they dominated the Rangers. Frankly, I get a solid laugh out of this. The Hurricanes, unlike the Rangers, have scoring depth on pretymuch all lines. Josef Vasicek (a proven playoff performer) and stud prospect Andrew Ladd are healthy extras at this point, and oh yeah, there's a slight possibility that elite winger Erik Cole could be making a return. Cam Ward isn't battling illness like Lundquist was, and Cam has put up numbers in goal that could easily rival Martin Brodeur against an offense that is vastly superior to what the Rangers threw at Marty.

Yeah, I'm smelling a Canes victory here, Carolina in 6, since they never win at home.

Maybe it's just the political activist in me clashing with the Libertarian in me, but the more I read about this "Day Without Immigrants" the more pissed off I get. These people are breaking our very laws to be here in the first place. Now they're expecting special treatment and protesting because they aren't going to get their way? Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Well, thanks to flipping through the radio stations on my way home the other day and hearing a comment by Bill Lemay, I have my solution. I'm going to see which companies are closed down on May 1st because they don't have enough legal employees (American or immigrant) to function without illegals. Then, when I see what ones are shut down, I'm simply not going to frequent them any longer and encourage everyone I know to do the same. The biggest reason this illegal influx is even happening in the first place is because the government isn't holding buisnesses that hire illegals accountable. Well, I say it's time for the American People to do so.

What's been going on lately?

Not much.

I'm marching with Carolina Gold this season so you'll probably have a chance to see me at a show or three this summer. I still haven't heard a response on starting classes this summer, and something tells me I won't either. So that just prolongs shit at least one more semester.

The Hurricanes had a hell of a season this year, finishing 2nd in the east. I already have my playoff tickets locked up and plan on being at every game. Hopefully they can take that last step they fell just short on in 02.

well it's been a while. I won't lie to those of you that have bothered to read this, everything I had planned for this summer asside from the Lugo interview fell though and by the time I was able to get that one uploaded onto my PC, because the company I bought my MP3 device from didn't include a USB adaptor with it, the Lugo interview was mostly irrelevent since it was almost 1/2 the way through the season.

Well, here's my current situation. I'm trying to figure out just what is going on in my life and it is driving me absolutely INSANE, then again what hasn't that been the case with me. I'm not sure what is going on with Jami lately and it seems that she has been angry at me since DCA weekend. Never a good thing at all. There are times when I just wonder what the hell I'm doing, how this is ever going to work out, but I do my best to shove that part of me back into irrelevence. I love Jami absolutely, I have since I met her. It's just a difficult time for the both of us due to both of our schedules and I'm just left wondering what I can do to remedy the situation.

In other news, my appartment search has hit a brick wall. With car payments, the price of gas and food expenses, I simply can't afford to put another $700 (and that's for the cheep one-beadroomers in the "bad neighborhood") on my monthly expenses. Studies wise I'm still going for the MBA with the online classes (yes, I really AM too lazy to leave my house to get a degree) though I have had some of my co-workers pushing for me to go into medicine, wether it's Med school or Nursing school. Dr. Goldberg and Shelly, my manager, have even offered to write letters of recomendation for me and pull whatever strings are nessicary to get me in to Duke to go for it, so stay tuned for updates on that one (whenever I feel like updating this thing).
